mini classic

back in 2007, I rented a Leica m8 camera for a week to see if I would enjoy rangefinder photography. this is one of the early shots I got that convinced me. I was walking across the street in SF haight when I saw the mini. I raised the camera to my eye, focused, and squeezed. the camera felt like an extension of my body – no waiting for power on, no auto focus lag, no shutter blackout, no ISO menu fiddling, etc. instant and immediate. I ended up buying an Epson rd1 a few months later, before upgrading to my first M8 in mid 2008. btw, if you look closely, you can see the passenger flashing me a peace sign!
